This
book was delivered new as an archive copy for a large library, but was
unable to be catalogued and thusly replaced due to being bound in the
wrong cover (the binding of a completely different book).
This
hardbound volume has since been professionally recovered in a beautiful,
durable, high-quality teak vinyl, with new end papers (pictured - the
paper fixed inside the front and back covers that conceals the
wrap-around edges of a book's covering).
I must say that this
and a handful of other books given the same treatment look rather
beautiful, and with extra durability of the new resilient and waterproof
covering.
The book is in new condition, crisp and never read.
It has simply been recovered (may bear minor imperfections due to hand
craftsman nature of the work) and may bear the odd stamp or tidy
cataloguing note in pen or pencil.
