About CEC D/A converter DA5
digital input
The SPDIF input is equipped with balanced AES/EBU that supports up to 24bit/192kHz, coaxial type COAXIAL, and optical TOSLINK, and the USB input (Note 1) for connecting to a computer is native to PCM32bit/384kHz and DSD256/11.2MHz. Compatible with playback.
(Note 1) Mac computers (X10.6.8 or later) do not need to install a USB driver, but Windows computers (XP or later) need to install a dedicated USB driver. Please prepare your own music player that supports high-resolution sound sources.
Additionally, on a Windows computer, by adding an ASIO driver etc. to foobar2000, you will be able to play DSD64/128/256.

ESS Technology DAC chip
ESS's 32-bit compatible Hyperstream DAC ES9018K2M is used to convert digital to analog signals. By ensuring high-dimensional channel separation and dynamic range, not only the width but also the depth of the stage is realistically reproduced. In addition, the high-quality signal is further processed and transmitted using a unique fully balanced circuit, resulting in a fresh, musically rich playback sound. The digital filter can be switched between flat with excellent frequency characteristics and pulse with natural attenuation characteristics in the high range to suppress ringing.
Analog output is equipped with balanced XLR terminals in addition to general RCA terminals. To fully utilize the benefits and performance of this unit's balanced circuit, we recommend balanced XLR connections.
It also has a headphone jack, so you can easily enjoy PC audio etc.
The digital volume adjustment function that varies the output level in the digital domain allows you to adjust the volume from -99dB to 0dB while maintaining high quality sound. This allows direct connection to power amplifiers and active speakers with built-in amplifiers. Adjustments are made using the remote control. The set output level is remembered even when the power is turned off and then on again.
The input terminal to select, sampling frequency, digital filter, etc. are displayed in an easy-to-understand manner. It also has a dimmer function, so you can switch the brightness of these displays in three levels (bright, off, dark) to suit your listening situation.
