This is a genuine and very rare 1964 first edition vintage "Cinderella" Ladybird Book from the 606D series of Well Loved Tales (not the later re-print of this book which was printed for the anniversary).
This book is so rare as it has it's dust cover and the book and the dust cover are in excellent condition with no rips, tears, inscriptions, writing or scribbles (please see photos). You may see occasional copies of this book on ebay without the dust cover but rarely with a dust cover and even more rarely with a dust cover in this very good condition.
This is the first book in the 606D Ladybird series and was first printed in 1964 and was the only book in the series to have a dust cover as a first edition - it was reprinted without a dust cover many times. It is also the only book in the series that does not have the tally number on the back (which helps identify first editions). The original price of the book was 2'6.
This 1st Edition 'Cinderella' is part of my own personal collection which I have built over 12 years and is a true collectors piece. I spent many years 'trading up' to get the best examples of these first editions that I could find.
The 606d series of popular fairy tales were published from 1964 to the 1980's but my collection is of the first 27 books up to 1974. I am selling all of my collection now so another collector can enjoy these wonderful books. I will be listing them at approximately 3 a week for the next few weeks and are all at but-it-now prices.
