Unique Punch Ladle made from a Mother of Pearl shell mounted in silver(not marked but tested sterling). It is attached to a finely turned ebonised handle, possibly turned from bamboo; typically late Georgian or Victorian in style. An earlier area of damage to the bowl/shell has been repaired Wabi Sabi with a period silver cartouche. Picture three shows a dragons head carved into part of the shell's original outer surface along with a thin banded strip of shell depicting the dragons body entwining the vessel.
