Australian WW2 City of Essendon appreciation certificate. Named. 2/24 Bn. ME, NG

On offer is an original WW2 Appreciation certificate.

Named to 'Arthur Frank Johnston' from the City of Essendon Victoria.

It appears that it was given after he enlisted but before he embarked.

Good used condition however the top and bottom has been trimmed.  Probably to fit into a frame.

204 x 236 mm.

Pte Johnston served in the Middle East for 6 months and New Guinea for 7 months with the 2/24th Battalion.  His file is open to view on NAA.
