Since Donald Trump's presidency, there has been great concern about the state of democratic debate culture. And an increasingly unforgiving and heated rhetoric can be observed in this country as well. In his disturbing wake-up call, Birand Bingul suggests that this is part of a propaganda strategy that seeks the collapse of political and social dialogue - and thus attacks the very core of liberal democracy. What is clear is this: To protect our democracy, we must see through the propaganda, because only then can we develop counter-strategies.
