A very rare original World War Two era Air Miniature Series escape map.

Printed onto silk in multiple colours, this map would have been issued to allied pilots and aircrews, serving in the Royal Air Force  throughout the course of WWII, and prior to D-day.

This map features Ancona, a city and seaport in the Marche region of east central Italy, it was compiled and drawn at WO, and is dated 1939. and marked Europe (AIR).

Genuine period original escape and evasion map, in very nice condition for its years, with light signs of age and wear only, please see pictures for details.

This map measures 44.5 centimetres long by 33 centimetres high.
