This adorable Kewpie is a reproduction, made by either Shackman Co. or Kelvins. Both companies manufactured this Kewpie Doll in Japan at around the same time period (mid 20th century). Kewpie has a classic, sweet Kewpie face with hand-painted, side-glancing eyes. It is in very good to excellent vintage condition. There is a very small chip of paint on the back of the head. There are no cracks, chips or repairs to the ceramic and the arms are strung nicely at the shoulders and function well. The knotting is cleanly done. Please see all photos for details on condition.
