This a Gibson made Oriole tenor open-back banjo.
It has a 10-1/2 inch full thickness maple rim and 18-fret maple neck. Most of the hardware appears to be original as do the friction tuners. The tailpiece is a modern replacement. Has a hide head that's stained on one side.
All in all, this is a pretty clean example of one of Gibson's simplest pre-war designs.
