For manual jacket, you must pull the rope(toggle) downwards to inflate the jacket For automatic jacket, the jacket will be inflated itself automatically when the inflation device submerges into the water. Also, the automatic jacket can be treated as a manual jacket.

WIDELY USED: For fishing, boating, sailing, kayaking, paddling, and other water sports activities. Attention: The date printed on cartridge is the Production Date, it's NOT the Expiry Date. The period of validity for cylinder is 3 years.

Each Jacket comes with an original cartridge installed in the inflation device.
If you want to distinguish the automatic jacket and manual jacket, please check the difference of the inflation device.
The inflation device of automatic jacket will have a "2 inches long black part"(check product picture) while the manual jacket does not have.
Also, the automatic jacket can be treated as a manual jacket.
