Silver Gold Gilt Ladle - Page Freres - Repousse Baroque - France  1901 - 1905
Page Freres was a French silver maker that operated in Paris from 1901 to 1905.
They were known for producing high-quality silverware and serving sets, often
with intricate designs and motifs. They used the .950 silver standard, which means
that their silver items contained 95% pure silver and 5% other metals.
Their maker’s mark was a diamond-shaped lozenge with the letters P and F on
either side of a star. You can see an example of their work in this silver serving
ladle, which features floral patterns.
Page Freres was one of the many silver makers that contributed to the
French tradition of excellence in silver craftsmanship.
