Lledo / Stevelyn Promotor Vans

PV33 - 1920 Ford Model T Car
Grey

Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, taking over a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series. Models produced by the Enfield-based company became popular among collectors worldwide.

Lledo specialised in the Promotional market, making models for companies and organisations who wanted to have their own logo or livery on a model. For smaller orders, they also partenered with Hertfordshire company Stevelyn & Co., who would take "blank" unfinished models from Lledo and finish them by applying labels with the client's chosen logo or design.

This model depicts a 1920 Ford Model T Car. Finished in grey, it has no logo or labels applied, and the Stevelyn style box has minimal information on it, suggesting this was probably a colour sample that could be given to a prospective client to give them an idea of the quality of the models and the style of packaging that would be used.

Very good pre-owned condition, in original box. Box is good, with minor wear, and some light creasing, but no serious rips or splits. Model itself is clean and appears to be in near-mint condition, only being taken out of the box to photograph. See photos - all photos show actual item.
