Hi for sale & needing a loving home is my VW T4 based Auto Trail Cree Motorhome.
Purchased last year driven from Yorkshire to Kent where it has resided on my Mothers driveway ever since!
The wife and I were discussing purchasing a Motorhome but on finding out I had bought this she went ballistic and vowed never to be seen in it and would prefer something from at least this Century.
Anyway to the snail I purchased it from a Motorhome/Campervan dealer and think I had my pants pulled down as I was promised the full service history paperwork and keys to the various external lockers will follow me down the A1 by registered post asap but after a few calls realised they weren’t!
I have the keys to the cab with a working immobiliser and have installed a new lock for the side door. The toilet cassette locker is unlocked. Will need locks picking for the water & gas lockers.
It drove slowly but well but like most of these old girls they prefer going downhill. Clutch gearbox worked as they should. The power steering went left and right with no strange noises.
It is showing its age and will need TLC inside and outside with various dings and dents.
Inside seems to have all its original untested appliances and furniture. The Cree is quite a unique conversion with a rear changing room or you can move the door & frame to open up the rear and close off the toilet. I was informed a new skylight had been installed in the toilet. There is historic evidence of damp in the bathroom but is dry.
The ceilings and overcab area appear damp free even after all the biblical rain we have had.
As I said I wasn’t sent any history but informed it has had a new clutch and cambelt replaced last year. The alternator belt needs tightening or changing as it initially squeals but once on the move stops.
It’s an ideal project for someone to either put their own mark on it with new interior etc or restore back to its former glory and keep original.
Any questions or viewings just ask. I will take a WhatsApp video and grab the V5 next time I’m at my Mothers.
Thanks for reading this far
