The story behind this bag, per the Strand:  "During a visit to the Strand in the 1970s, [Hockney] was asked to draw his self-portrait.   If you look closely at the bag of books, you can see him peeking out."

The bag is made of recycled materials (80% cotton, 20% plastic bottles). 

Tote dimensions are 13” W x 14” H with 12” handle drop and 5” x 6” inner pocket with velcro closure.
