This is a first edition in good condition.  It was published by Herbert Jenkins Ltd in 1952.  This book is one of the 'Blandings Castle' series.

 

'Clarence, ninth Earl of Emsworth has good health, a large income and a first-class ancestral home.  But these blessings count for nothing in the presence of Sir Gregory Parsloe.  Lord Emsworth is convinced he has evil designs on his pre-eminent pig, the Empress of Blandings.'

 

This is a 1st Edition / 2nd Printing (States - 'Second Impression'.)

 

Condition:

Book - Good - rubbing/bumping/wear to the corners, edges and covers, a lean and some fading to the spine, some marking and discolouration to the covers, opens easily to a couple of pages, v.small nicks/tears to a couple of page edges, slight bumping to several page corners, some marking to the page edges and a couple of pages, some foxing/discolouration to the page edges and a few pages, some darkening to the top page edges, soft tanning to the pages and there is an inscription to a previous owner inside.
