Compression is good. If anything, it’s a little over

compressed and it will probably knock and re set when it fires up. See Video

and pics.

This is not an original Mills. There is no numbering on the

lug. The tank and Needle/Venturi look right to be either original or Indian

Mills.  The head is not the correct shape

for the Indian or English. The Crank Case is not CS and neither is the Tank and

Venturi, but the head looks more CS shaped or Doonside Mills shaped. Could this

little fella have been renovated or is it yet another version of the Mills .75.

There is no writing on the back plate. No numbering on the

lugs. The original back plate had webs and this one has no webs/ the back plate

has been re-coated in black heat proof paint/coating. The backplate has been

painted black. It would be possible to remove the back plate and clean the

paint off it. With the silver back plate, it would look nicer we think. Its not

the Indian Back Plate we have compared it to others and India usually has ‘

INDIA’ inscribed on the back plate.

So, what version of Mills is it? Answers on a postcard or

via the message a seller button.

It got outstanding compression. In fact, it might be over

compressed. The engine did come with a comp screw that was the correct size

bolt with a T Bar across it.  We include

it in the sale. It has a better ‘feel’ that the one we have used in the pics. So,

there are two compression screws. See pics and video.
