Director Priestley House for the Aged, 1927-1929, vice president since 1943; Served on a Pan American commission (with Doctor Nitzsche) through South America, 1944-1945.
Nitzsche, Elsa Koenig was born on March 24, 1880 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Daughter of Professor George A. and Wilhelmina Marquart Koenig. Studied in Pennsylvania Academy and graduate Woman’s School of Design. In France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, 8 years, under Bouveret and other eminent teachers.Has exhibited in principal exhbns. in America and abroad. Honorable mention, Paris Salon. Represented in many American and several foreign collections.
