Very large and thick Elm slab or board
Cut in 1995 from a tree on an estate in the Scottish Borders and seasoned in a cool dry outhouse ever since.
Very nice figured grain.
Some old beetle in the sapwood here and there dating from before the log was converted (see pictures). Still apparantly dormant.
Surface as sawn.
