This case was made by Max Factor in the 1950s and was patented for it's ingenious pop up mechanism. The outer compact is shiny gold with an etched radiating design accented with a Clear Rhinestone Open the push button clasp and inside is a petite little lipstick with a gold faceted with Black handle. The lipstick fits inside a spring loaded compartment so that when the cover of the compact is opened, the handle of the lipstick pops up just a bit for Easy access. There is a Gold and white label on the base of the lipstick handle that reads Max Factor Hi Society Brandy Orange nHollywood U.S.A. The lipstick is inside the case was Probably Never Used . On the bottom of the compact Max Factory Hollywood . London . Paris is on the Bottom & it says U.S.A. Patent No. .2.830.602 And Made in U.S.A
