Offering a rare antique sterling silver Indian Chief letter opener by William Kerr, Newark, NJ. Circa 1890's.

This amazing antique letter opener is in Kerr’s popular Indian Chief pattern. Featuring the face of a proud Native American Indian Chief, wearing long hair and feathered headdress. A menacing blade and a sharp point completes the design of this awesome letter opener. Signed, Kerr, Sterling. Monogrammed.

Measuring: 10 3/8” Long, 2 1/8” Wide, Weighing 119.06 Grams or 4.2 oz.

The condition is near mint. Only a minuscule ding to the edge on the reverse side. (Shown under magnification). Not seen on the front side. Insignificant superficial scratches on back. The piece is perfectly straight and lays flat on table. The patina is wonderful.
