Description: A beautiful English Antique early Victorian solid sterling silver christening mug, having a round bellied shaped body, with a lovely protruding melon shaped body, fitted with a scroll shaped handle and sitting on a pedestal base. Comes with a superb gilt lined interior. The body comes in a lovely plain design with no hand engraved presentation inscriptions, initials, monograms or family crest marks. But the underneath of the base is engraved with some initials. It has an excellent thickness of solid sterling silver and weighs 149 grams of solid sterling silver. Would make an excellent fine addition to anyones collection or is ready to be used for its purpose it was made for. A stunning example which has a splendid melon and unusual shaped body. A fine example.

Condition report: The exterior of the christening mug is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, splits, holes or repairs. The gilt lined interior is in excellent condition for its age but does have some slight surface marks which has to be expected with age and use. But has no nasty stains or marks from use. The top and bottom rims are not out of shape and stands well but does have a slight wobble. The fitted handle is in excellent condition with no damage or pushed in handle. Holds up to 200 ml of liquids perfectly well with no leaks or signs of any holes. The English solid silver hallmarks to the underneath of the base are in crisp very readable condition with no wear issues. A stunning example in such excellent clean condition which is ready to be added to your collection or to be used. A stunning Victorian example.

United Kingdom Deliveries will be delivered in most cases next day once posted out but can be the odd rare delay. 

Europe Deliveries can take 1-3 weeks and Worldwide 1-4 weeks depending on location. 

All items are well wrapped to a professional standard with bubble wrap, loose fill and double padded strong boxes. All come with a tracking number. We will do combined postage for multiple purchases where possible. Just depends on value of won lots. Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm can insure items up to £2,500 if required in the United Kingdom and DPD delivery service will be used for parcels outside of Europe for items of over £250 due to insurance being required.  


Import charges
