Item Description
The Pioneer PL-50L II, released in 1981 during the "Gold Era" of Japanese high-fidelity audio equipment, is a well-crafted direct-drive turntable that sounds as good as it looks. The PL-50L II includes the innovative "moving" coil system ", by which mechanical noise is reduced by contact-less detection of noise, such that the sensitivity of the tonearm is unaffected. There are several technical improvements compared to the previous version of the PL-50L, including the" Stable Hanging Rotor by the PL-50L II's extremely solid construction and oversized platter, pitch accuracy is phenomenal. Add to this the stunning marble ebony cabinet, and you have a turntable that is both functional and beautiful. For these reasons, this was a highly successful product in Japan.

This particular unit is in very good condition, with some wear throughout (please see photos), including some scratches and scuffs (please see pictures). The dust cover has some scratches (Please see the pictures and refer to the dust cover policy). This turntable has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation.
**The rubber mats were hardened and brittle, so we were replaced with DENON rubber mats.
