Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin II Hollow Body Burgundy 2003 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin hollow body archtop electric guitar in Burgundy finish. Made in Canada in 2003, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Canadian Wild Cherry hollow body with arched top and back, Silver Leaf Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including Godin trapeze-style tailpiece and Godin sealed tuning machines. A set of Godin P90 single-coil pickups are installed in the neck and bridge position, and are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.

The Silver Leaf Maple neck plays very well, with a profile that feels nicely rounded in the hand and moderately slim for articulate lines and jazzy changes, whilst the Satin finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.84" scale. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 16" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register, facilitating speedy lines and string bending. The hollow body ensures a lively and responsive playing experience, whilst the arched top and back enhance comfort when playing for extended periods.

The voice of the instrument is open and airy thanks to its hollow body construction. The body resonates beautifully, and provides a wide dynamic range that feels sensitive to the player's touch. The P-90 pickups installed provide an excellent platform for sculpting your sound. Crystal clear tones can be dialled in easily, whilst the pickups have plenty of output for crunchy sounds too. The controls are very responsive, allowing you to roll down the tone pot for those dark, mellow jazz lead lines. A well made and incredibly versatile jazzer.
