This item is a Real Photographic postcard showing member of The D`Oyly Carte Opera Company Sidney Pointer. He is not in costume.

The Postcard is published by Parkslee and is numbered 100.

Sidney Pointer was a member of the company who produced the popular Gilbert & Sullivan operas between 1923 and 1926.

The postcard has not been written on or posted.

This item was formerly in the collection of John Cannon, the respected G&S collector and researcher who died in 2021. He left instructions that all collectors should have a chance to acquire the treasures in his collection, which will therefore be auctioned here over the next year or so by StageMemories and PaperJoys. Please let us know if you would like to be added to a mailing list, to be informed of all or specific items from John’s collection.

Condition: Generally Good. There are just a few general signs of age wear.
