The first distinguishing feature of this elite knife is its blade, which is precision machined from CTS® XHP—an air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium alloy that can be described as either a high-hardness 440C stainless steel or a corrosion-resistant D2 tool steel. As a blade material, it offers superior edge retention and surface finish and can be sharpened to a very fine edge. It is also extremely resistant to corrosion.

In Cutlery Shoppe's signature style, the knife's handle sports high-visibility orange G-10 scales. The peel-ply-textured scales offer a secure, non-slip grip and, together with a stainless steel backspacer, support the knife's highly refined back lock mechanism. To allow a full range of carry options for both right and left-handed users, the handle also includes a four position hourglass clip and a large lanyard hole.
