PRECIOUS MOMENTS FIGURINE LET’S PUT THE PIECES TOGETHER 525928 WITH BOX & TAGS.  This auction is for a Precious Moments porcelain bisque figurine by Enesco.  It is Item #525928 entitled ‘Let’s Put the Pieces Together.’  Produced in 1997 and made in Thailand.  What an adorable pair – a small blonde haired boy and girl are each kneeling in front of a small green table putting the pieces of a heart shaped puzzle in front of them.  The boy has a sling shot in his pocket, puzzle pieces are on the ground and each has a piece in their hands.  The figurine measures 5” high x 5 ½” long x 3” deep and weighs 14 ounce unpackaged. Two cards are included.  Precious Moments founding artist Samuel J. Butcher’s artwork has always been inspired by faith, family, and friends. His soulful illustrations of children with teardrop-shaped eyes were first featured on popular greeting cards. When Mr. Butcher saw the first sample of a Precious Moments figurine more than 40 years ago he was awestruck. The sculptor had captured the very essence of Mr. Butcher’s iconic Precious Moments artwork Love One Another and had brought it to life. In that moment, one of this humble artist’s dreams had come true.  In 1978, the original 21 Precious Moments figurines were released to worldwide acclaim and a new collecting/gift-giving tradition was born.
