Purpose: To observe the effect of diamond light color.
Usage: Control the switch and turn on the tester pen. Use the tester pen to illuminate the diamond color edge in parallel to achieve the ideal observation effect of light color.

Use steps: 

1. Turn on the power switch, the power indicator lights up, and the instrument begins to warm up. After a few seconds, the preparatory indicator lights up, indicating that the instrument can be used
2. According to the weight of the diamond being tested and the temperature of the measuring place (see table on the back of the instrument), turn on the three-color indicator light.For example, if the weight of the subject is less than 0.05 carats and the temperature is less than 10℃, the light will be turned on to the 5th tricolor position

To test jewelry, use glass correction instrument before test. The specific correction method is as follows: first, turn on the machine to preheat, then use the probe of thermal conductivity probe to vertically contact the glass surface, manually adjust the lamp to the 5th grid, and immediately after the correction, contact the probe with the surface of the object to be tested to get the accurate hardness

To test the hardness of jewelry, the sixth light shows that the jewelry is of high quality, and the hardness of ordinary stone is about 4-5

3. Remove the needle cover and hold the instrument. Touch the conductive plate of the back cover of the instrument with the index finger of the right hand to make the probe touch the diamond vertically.Pay close attention to the of the instrument, if the remaining color lights up to the ninth or more than nine until the red diode shines and emits a buzzer, it is a real diamond.On the contrary, if the number of lights is less than nine or the instrument does not sound, it is a false one.

Note:

1. Do not use instruments to test metals
2. Do not touch the probe with hands or wet objects
3. The tested objects should be kept clean and free of oil stains
4. The instrument and diamond should be at the same temperature during the test
5. Do not wear , it will make the buzzer invalid. 

Attention when using diamond tester :

1. The results are meaningless if the temperature is below ‑10℃or above 40℃

2. It is best to measure under conditions of no wind

3. Ensure that the tested object has been placed in the test environment for a long enough time and the surface temperature is consistent with the ambient temperature

4. The surface of the tested object should be clean. Waxing and oil will affect the result

5. The surface is flat to ensure full contact between the probe and the surface

6. Use glass for calibration before formal test

7. Note that the fourth light is just on and the fifth light is about to go on, representing 4‑4.5 and 4.5‑5 respectively
