This exquisite 19th century high back Windsor armchair


Displaying a gorgeous heart-shaped pierced splat back that is supported by a wonderful swooping back rail and turned spindles to form the backrest.


With a beautiful large circular pad open armrest design, supported by 6 turned spindles and 2 original metal rods.


Leading down to a carved saddle seat a lovely period feature, creating a comfortable seating or simply for a cushion.


Proudly stood on four outward splayed turned legs, connected by an H-frame stretcher providing solid structure and support for this wonderful armchair.


This armchair displays a red mahogany patina and would be suitable for adding a touch of country charm to many living, dining rooms, kitchen, or hallway settings.


Overall, this armchair is in good antique condition, with signs of historical use and wear as to be expected.

There are historical signs of glue to the chair (as photographed).

There is a historical crack that has been repaired by a metal screw but this doesn't affect the functionality at all (as photographed).

The backrest rail is misaligned (as photographed).
