Martin DRS2 Road Series Satin Natural 2017 Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Here for sale we have a Martin DRS2 Road Series Electro-Acoustic guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in Mexico in 2017, this guitar features a Mortise & Tenon Neck Joint construction comprising a Sitka Spruce top, Sapele back and sides, a Select Hardwood neck, and a 20-fret Richlite fingerboard and matching bridge. Other appointments include a Compensated White Tusq saddle and a White Corian nut and a set of Martin Sealed tuning machines. A Fishman Sonitone under-saddle pickup system is featured with soundhole mounted controls for volume and tone.

The Selected neck plays very well, with the ‘Performing Artist’ profile that fills the hand nicely whilst retaining a slim feel, offering comfortable fretting in all registers. The Richlite fingerboard feels smooth to the touch, and with the 16" radius provides a playing surface capable of a wide variety of playing styles, whilst fretting is a breezy and sumptuous affair in any register, whilst the body design feels great in both seated and standing positions and provides good reach to the higher frets

The voice of this guitar is snappy and detailed, with the Sapele back and sides producing a mellow but responsive midrange. The Sitka Spruce top provides a balanced, seasoned tone with plenty of low end power and warm detail. The understated high end of this guitar remains detailed but subtle, adding unique character to this instrument. This guitar features an X-bracing design which results in more flexibility for the top to resonate, delivering more volume and a well-defined and full-bodied tone, making for a great singer songwriter guitar. The Fishman Sonitone under-saddle pickup system captures the natural voice of the guitar perfectly allowing the true nature of the guitar's voice to be conveyed through amplification.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. A small dent is present to the bass side edge of the headstock, next to the A string tuner. 

Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light denting is present to the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the mid register and can not be felt under the finger in playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the rear face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the centre in line with buckle rash.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 5mm)

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
