Lledo Promotional Models
Diecast Model Vehicle
LP21-037 - 1928 Chevrolet Van
Capricornia Pacific, Australia Promotional Model

Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, serving a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series.

The 1928 Chevrolet Van was introduced to the Days Gone range in 1986, and proved very popular, appearing in many different liveries. The promotional market became Lledo's bread and butter, with companies and organisations able to order limited runs of the model with their own livery, and the Model A Van became one of the most popular choices.

Lledo would also use their models to promote their own company, often producing special models to give to visitors to their stand at Trade Shows or Toy Fairs. This model was produced in 1988, for Lledo's Australian distributors to show customers the benefits of using diecast models to promote their business. Finished in blue, it features the Lledo logo.
