This is Queen's updated version of the "economic microscope" and not one of the ACME line of instruments.

It uses a more modern eyepiece rather than the more antique "top hat" style eyepiece.

It has a simple unitized body tube, evidently without a drawtube making for a relatively simple setup.

The case is original to the microscope. The hinges are missing screws, which are easily replaced.

The microscope probably dates from circa 1900.

The sticker on the foot was likely placed by a former owner.

The microscope appears to be in very good condition and the brasswork is nearly pristine lacking any tarnish.
