ABOUT THIS COMIC (IT’S HISTORY UP TO NOW)

One of my elder brothers picked up this copy of The Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1 #92, brand new, the week it arrived at our neighborhood comic book shop in 1971, in Brooklyn, NYC. Once purchased and brought home, we carefully looked or read the comic book, personally I loved this issue. I was and still am, a huge fan of Gil Kane’s work on old web head, especially when one of his greatest artists, John Romita Sr., had a hand in the inks, and illustrated the amazing cover. Afterwards, it was bagged, and placed with the other comics in the collection, and put away till now.

Today, was the first time, in almost 50 years, that it was removed from it’s original comic book bag, to see it’s condition, how it’s aged, and to take photographs. As soon the photographs were taken, I put the comic book into a new comic bag, adding a new backing board, I then placed that inside the another new comic bag. So when I ship the comic, the original exterior bag could be carefully taped to the packaging, while the new bag inside keeps the comic safe, until it’s new owner decides to open, keep it bagged, or have it professionally graded.

THIS COMIC BOOK’S CONDITION (WHAT’S MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU)

Let me first write, none of our comics are professionally graded, so please after reading my description, check out the photo’s and if you have questions about the comic ask away.

Now to the comic’s condition. As mentioned above, this copy, looks to be in Near Mint + condition, it looks as close to new as a comic book could look after being in a comic book bag for almost half a century. As the photo’s showcases, from front cover to back cover, from splash page to letters page, all looks good. The original staples are in, all pages and the cover are attached. There are no scribbles, missing elements, or hidden surprises.  As soon as I opened the pages, it was instant recall, and I simply smiled from the front cover till I reached it’s back cover. Great issue, in pretty sweet condition.

MY FAMILY’S ‘THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN’ COLLECTION

This copy comes from my family’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ comic book collection. My brothers and I shared the duties with collecting the comic books in the series. Basically they started collecting them, while I collected my own comics (basically anything else I could get my hands on). Eventually, they stopped buying comics completely, and as I grew up as the only true collector in the family, it became my job to continue buying The Amazing Spider-Man issues. Eventually we agreed I’d stop buying new issues once the series reached #300. Looking back now, what was I thinking? I mean, I left, just as Todd McFarlane’s reign was about to change Peter Parker’s life forever.

PLEASE CHECK OUT ALL PHOTOS AND SCANS

All sales are final, and any questions you might have, please ask before bidding. Life is so much simpler… while my description might not be the best, I try to make that up, by showcasing everything, I try to be as honest as possible. Good or bad.

AS A GIFT TO ALL OF OUR WINNING BIDDERS. We pay the insurance fee to cover the comic book during its journey to it’s new home. So you and we (well actually me) will feel comfortable while awaiting the delivery of the package. Sadly I’ve learned the few times you don’t have any, you really regret not having had any…

HOW I PACKAGE ‘YOUR’ WINNING ITEM FOR SHIPPING: I personally package each comic book, and pride myself in making sure the book arrives in the exact condition (good or bad), that is featured in the photographs supplied for you to peruse. Depending on the comic’s condition, I either re-bag the comic and place it into a new comic bag, or leave it in it’s original bag… either way, you receive a new comic bag and new backing board. I then secure the outside bag, with clear packing tape to a sheet of double weight corrugated card board.  Currently I ship using the GEMINI comic mailer, I sandwich the comic, between two sheets of double weight corrugated cardboard, taped together, then I secure that to the inside of the GEMINI, then I seal the mailer, making sure to tape all sides so nothing can seep inside…  If you have any questions, ask away.

WE SHIP THE COMICS via MEDIA MAIL… because of the costs of course… if you want faster service, which will cost more money, please let me know before paying the bill. And I will update. It’s possible I think as a buyer, you can request faster service when you pay.

TO THOSE INTERESTED, we are selling off our family’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN comic collection, most of which haven’t been put up for auction… so far. Several are currently up for auction, and happily we’ve sold about 30 so far.  So if there are any other issues, you are looking for, please check them out, or ask if we still have others you are looking for.

OF NOTE, along with these issues, I am also selling off most of my over 10,000 comics from my own personal collection. Mostly Marvel and DC Comics from mid 1960’s through the late 1980’s… mostly. Please check out my other auctions, perhaps you will find something you also are looking for.

THANKS for checking out our auction. Any questions ask. Good luck if you bid, and good luck with your search.
