About Otto Graneist: born 16. November 1840 in Dornstedt (Saxony), emigrated to the USA in 1866, lived in Detroit in 1870 and was naturalized in San Francisco in 1880. He died on the 27th. August 1905 in San Francisco. By profession he was a restaurant owner (Coffee saloon Graneist & Daeweritz). He was married to Friedericke Marie, née. Sonnenberg (1835-1900).
