Here is a very beautiful antique baptismal/christening gown.  Bodice of the  dress is done in tape lace with netting being the main body of the dress.  Bottom of the dress is adorned with an all over princess lace pattern ending in a 4 inch lace border.  Dress closes in back at the top with buttons and then is open from the waist down.  Slip is trimmed in lace and closes with buttons down the back.  I do not know if the slip is original.  It is a couple of inches shorter than the dress.  There is a beautiful tape lace bonnet with the dress.  Bonnet has ribbon ties.  Inside lining of the bonnet is the same material as the slip.  I believe it is rayon.  There are 2 very light, tiny stains in the top front lace of the dress and 2 in the front netting.  They are not easily seen.  I have not attempted to clean.  Aside from the stains, the dress and bonnet are in near mint condition.

Length:  37 inches
