Architectural panels, probably window panels.. Gilded openwork carved wood in several levels with depictions of a mythical creature and birds between leafy vines and rocailles. Mounted on a red lacquer finish frame. Signs of age (loss of gilding, cracks, etc). Please observe pictures with red arrows that depict some damage to openwork and at one of the  edges. China, Qing period, late 19th century to early 20th century. Mounted on a later frame.
