Ebay has introduced a new shipping method for trading cards.
eBay Standard Envelope.
It is for cards under $20.00 in value. The card must be under 3 ounces and cost depends on your zip code, it is for US locations only.
It comes with a tracking number.
Bubble mailers or any packaging made of plastic can NOT be used.
Envelope is not allowed to be completely rigid or non-uniform in thickness., so therefore no cardboard, plastic or other material to protect the card.
Graded cards are not supported by eBay standard envelope due to their thickness.
Envelope thickness should be uniform and may not contain clasps, strings, plastic material or buttons or similar closure devices.
The package cannot be over 0.25" ( 1/4 inch ) in thickness, this may prevent some cards, some cards are made different and thicker stock card be too thick.
Up to 3 cards can be put into a soft sleeve.
PLEASE wait for invoice before paying, because now a seller will have to measure the card to make sure it fits the guidelines.
ALSO as a seller I do not like to send autograph, sketch and material cards this way, the choice is yours on these, I do not think it is a good method for these cards.
The entire order cannot be over $20.00.
Items that are listed as an auction and sell over the $20.00 limit will not able to ship this method.
Listing that have been listed before this system will not have the note you are reading. But those items may be covered depending on the price and thickness.
This method is going to help the lower cost cards to sell. And like almost everything with something new with eBay there will be bumps in the road, confusion and unanswered questions.

The eBay standard envelope will have the card in a soft sleeve, placed inside a folded heavy stock paper and placed in an envelope 6 1/2" x 4 3/4"
You can upgrade to regular 1st class shipping. This will cost you more, wait for invoice. The card is placed in a soft sleeve, then placed in hard top loader or Card Saver, put in an envelope and sandwiched between cardboard and shipped in a bubble envelope.
The choice is yours.
Outside the U.S. we ship with Ebay International Shipping, the weight will be 2 to 3 ounces , however several cards can be shipped this was for the same shipping cost as long as the weight stays below 8 ounces.
