They bid on three letters from Graz from 1934 from a partial estate of Richard Kaan (1897-1969), First President of the Styrian State Parliament from 1965.

Includes two handwritten letters from Elisabeth Planner-Wildinghof(dated Graz, 9. and 18. May 1934) written on very strong letterhead with her husband's printed letterhead "Dr. Karl Planner-Wildinghof" (pediatrician), author of the very successful guide "The child, the mother's happiness, the mother's concern."

On the back of the first letter Handwritten concept of the answer by Richard Kaan (his own hand), which is also available as a typescript copy (dated 14. May 1934)., with sender "Dr. R. Kaan-Privat" and recipient "Mrs. Elisabeth Planner-Wildinghof, Medical Councilor's Wife, Graz, Einspinnergasse No. 1" (this address can be verified for Karl Planner-Wildinghof).

Concerns Kaan's request to purchase land in Waltendorf next to his wife's villa, which belongs to Planner-Wildinghofs. But they refuse the sale (or would sell for a maximum of 2000 shillings, with Kaan offering 1000 shillings for an actual value of 600).

Richard Kaan (until 1919 Kaan Edler von Distelfingen) (* 23. December 1897 in Vienna; † 15. January 1969 in Oberaich) was an Austrian politician (ÖVP). Kaan was a nephew of the Styrian governor Wilhelm Kaan; Like his uncle, Richard Kaan was also a lawyer in Graz. He belonged to the national liberal camp and represented the Styrian People's Party in the Styrian state parliament from 1949 until his death. From 1964 he was Second President of the State Parliament, from 7. In April 1965 he served as First President of the State Parliament. He died in a car accident near Bruck an der Mur in 1969, on the same route on which ÖVP chairman Karl Schleinzer had a fatal accident in 1975.
