This is a compound microscope with upper and lower lights.
Important notes:
- You can use either the upper light or the lower light, but you cannot use both at the same time.
- The dimmer switch is the same for both lights.
- The lights can be powered via the included DC adapter, or with batteries (sold separately)
- IMPORTANT: The magnification for this scope is 40x-640x. You might see it with different specs - make sure to look at the description and pictures carefully. This manufacturer has numerous listings which show one thing in the pictures and say another. I've made sure these pictures are accurate to the microsope.
- The eyepiece magnifications are 10x and 16x
- The objective lenses are 4x, 10x, and 40x.
