This very nice antique porcelain VASE was manufactured in France during the mid-19th century by Edme Samson et Cie. Samson was a well-known porcelain manufacturing and decorating firm that made copies of the very best 18th century porcelain in addition to their own designs. This antique original piece is a 19 century French imitation of the 18th century Chinese Export Style. It is hallmarked on verso of the base with a Samson's Chinese mark.

The VASE features a hand-painted Armorial Coat of Arms and Floral pattern in many beautiful colors with blue and red accents. The painted designs are situated inside the hand-enameled white decorative frames in Asian style and adorned with gold and red trim for a final touch. The Coat of Arms includes a knight, an eagle and supported by 2 deer. The banner states "God shaw the right".

Very good condition, free of cracks, chips or repairs, with some gilt wear.
