A playbill c. 1876 for the entertainments offered by the Theatre Royal, Newcastle-on-Tyne including the journalist, Andrew Halliday's adaptation of Hugo's Notre Dame with some of the scenic highlights listed such as 'A Public Garden in Paris', 'Interior of the Gipsies Tavern', 'The gipsy revel', 'Notre Dame by Night' etc. Also advertised is an upcoming production of Burnand's Burlesque of Robin Hood! The playbill measures approx 345 mm x 220 mm. Old folds and minor grubbiness, but a good example.
