My recent poll for who should be my next fairy queen ended with an overwhelming cry for Reba. We lived for her in my house growing up. Country music was a big part of life in northern Maine for some reason. "You Lie" was always my favorite song, but I like her new music so much too. In preparation for painting this I created a playlist and found that Reba has been coming out with an album every one to three years since 1977, and I like at least 3 songs on every album.

This piece is based on the glorious Reba McEntire wearing a red dress that she made famous in 1993. She wore the same exact dress in 2018 at the ACM awards, still looking sexy as hell. I painted Reba with the wings of a the scissor-tailed fly catcher, the state bird of her homestate, Oklahoma.

The piece is 8×10 inches, with a print 5×7" matted giclee print and has an acid free protective bag included in shipment.
