Extending our range of IR PUC cables and adaptors, we are pleased to bring to market a range of 3.5 mm jack type 'Y' Splitter/Adaptors. These adaptors can be used with the older generation of BeoVisions / BeoSystems that allow two IR transmitters to be connected to a single IR output socket. Particular examples of the products that this can be used with include certain CRT BeoVision Avants, BeoSystem 2 etc..
This adaptor, together with two IR Blaster cables (available separately from our eBay store), allows two Set-Top Boxes (STBs) to be controlled completely independently of one another. It should not be confused with very basic adaptors that simply send the IR commands to both IR Blasters simultaneously - thus potentially causing a conflict between two set top boxes and the connected BeoVision / BeoSystem to which they are connected.
Setting up is very straight forward via the on-screen menu system: 'Connections'. The primary source can be connected to one of the AV Scart sockets and the secondary source, to the Decoder Scart socket.
The IR 'Y' Splitter Adaptor has two labels identifying the primary 'STB-SAT' and secondary 'STB-V.AUX' connections.
