A French postal desk.  Originally for sorting the post in around the 1930’s. This French post office desk is made of polished steel with a leather top. It doesn’t have the pigeon holes above the desk that you see in some, but this gives it a very generous, desk surface space. I had a large apple screen/keyboard/printer/telephone/pens/pots the works on it!
This was purchased around 10 years ago and at the time was stripped and polished and given a leather top at fair expense.  The metal has dulled over time and looks nicely distressed due to the light rusting to it. I would say a very thorough polish would bring this up quite considerably or leave as it looks perfectly aged with it's existing patina.
The top is leather which has a few marks on it from use.  Saying that this is an extremely good model that has not had a huge amount of wear. The adjustable height seat is in good condition partly as I swivelled it in and used a chair instead in front of it. There is a good amount of storage underneath, this was powder coated. This desk is heavy and extremely well built. I guess a thing of rarity. It would look quite spectacular in an industrial setting or even a retail space.
