We have Chinese Export items from the Ming and Qing dynasties. We have bought and sold pieces as early as the Jaijing, Longqing, and Wanli periods to the Transitional and Kangxi periods, and those periods that followed under emperors Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu, and Republic period wares as well. As illustrated above, all items are inspected for an accurate account of item age and condition. Any piece bearing hairline cracks or chips will be highlighted and disclosed in the Description and Condition Report above. Many of the items up for auction will have varying degrees of enamel wear and gilding loss. Please inspect all photo images closely before bidding.

If you won multiple items within an auction week, we do our best to combine them for shipping.

We are shipping porcelain and fragile works of art. We pack them carefully and we often double box items. This increases costs. In most cases, individual items are already packed at the time of the listing. In some cases, we don't have boxes big enough to consolidate all the items that eBay automatically combined for shipping on your behalf. Combined shipping increases dim weights, box sizes, shipping rates, and ultimately our costs, of which, we are unable to pass on to our winning bidders. Under no circumstances will we combine shipping to include items closing in the following week. You win, you pay, we ship immediately.

BUYER PAYS ALL SHIPPING FEES, TAXES, AND DUTIES. Although we have created a fixed flat-rate price schedule for shipping based on box size and the regional location where it will be shipped, our costs will fluctuate. In the event that our shipping cost is substantially higher than the flat-rate in the table above, Room Tonic reserves the right to disclose the actual shipping cost to the buyer/winning bidder and to bill them accordingly for the difference, prior to shipping their package(s).

All items ship from our retail shop located at 22B Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead, MA 01945. We strive to ship the same day payment is received. However, we do not work on the holidays so on occasion we will ship within two days at the most. Please do not forget to leave positive feedback and a five-star rating. Shipping is done via UPS Ground, UPS Standard to Canada, and UPS Worldwide Expedited. All items have tracking numbers which are emailed to the winning bidder. Any item valued $250 or higher will require a signature confirmation. Any buyer who wants a signature confirmation is entitled to have, but they must ask in advance. Room Tonic also buys insurance up to the value of the item or items being shipped at no extra charge to the winning bidder.

Shipping delays. In the event that your item is delayed, please do not give negative feedback or claim item has not arrived. Delays can and do occur on occasion. If your item has not arrived within 5 business days, please contact us immediately so we can check on its status and do what we can to help the situation. Please understand that once an order has been shipped and the delivery's tracking number begins to show progress, Room Tonic is no longer responsible for the package as it is in the hands of the courier. Room Tonic cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen orders, or any damages that may occur during delivery. We will assist with the insurance claim. Room Tonic cannot be held responsible for delivery attempts, failed attempts, failed deliveries or any other issues with the courier. eBay messages are usually answered within 24 to 48 hours, so please be patient with any questions you might have.

International delivery can take up to three weeks and sometime as long as six to arrive due to any number of reasons for delay (i.e., courier delays, customs delays, etc.), so please do not leave negative feedback because of delays beyond our control.

Room Tonic goes to great lengths to describe our items as accurately and honestly as possible. We provide a full Condition Report which includes photos and video of items in UV light as an extra measure of transparency to identify any flaws, repairs, or restorations that might not be visible under normal studio light. All items are sold "as-is" "where-is" with all faults. It is the bidder's responsibility to determine the exact condition and authenticity of each item. No statement in this listing or by representatives of Room Tonic Asian Art shall be considered as a warranty or assumption of liability. To this end, items are not returnable for condition issues commented on  or shown in the photos provided. Most items listed are antique objects that are over 100 years old. Items are not returnable or eligible for partial refunds due to wear, patina, or any other flaws consistent with the item's age. 

We do not sell on buyer's approval, nor do we accept returns for buyer's remorse or "change of mind".

If it is determined that an item is eligible for return, it must be received by Room Tonic within the 30 day window after delivery confirmation of the item in its original box and packaging. If a buyer returns an item, it should be returned in the same condition in which it was received, and it should include all items that were in the original package. If the returned item is used, damaged, or missing any parts, or is damaged during return shipping because it wasn't packaged correctly or shipped in its original box and packaging, we will not  issue a refund or even partial refund. No exceptions. 

We try our very best to represent all items as accurately as possible. Items are guaranteed as described. Please read the whole description and look at pictures carefully as they are considered part of the description. Interpretation of condition and measurements are the buyer's responsibility. Colors may not always be exact. Cameras will sometimes alter the color of items based on lighting and exposure. Item colors may deviate slightly from those seen in the photograph images, however this cannot be considered a cause for accidental or deliberate misrepresentation. Antiques and collectible items are guaranteed to be authentic. If an item is not described accurately due to mistakes or human error, please bring it to our attention as quickly as possible so we can address it.
