I discovered and visited the factory. These amazing handcrafted ceramic beads made by the women of the Kazuri Workshop in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.  I fell in Love with the beads and the mission.

Each bead is shaped by hand, by one of the 300 local women employed by Kazuri. These women are given fair wages to help them out of poverty.   Kazuri Beads is a member of the Fair Trade Federation. 

There may be slight variations in the colors and size of the beads, since every ceramic bead is hand made and hand colored. Photos cannot capture 100% actual amazing colors.
