QNAP TS-451 with 16 Gig RAM as 2 x 8 GB in the two slots.

I've had this 4 bay NAS just over a year and selling it as a bit of a collector's edition because I have installed and have working 16 Gig of RAM as opposed to the maximum 8 Gig. if you look on the QNAP forums this is possible with this model if you apply a little TLC in upgrading it. The celeron processor supports 16 Gigabyte, the advertising QNAP's side supports 8 Gigabyte.

It comes without hard drives (as reason for sale is upgrade) but I will include the following:

-remote control ( switch on / off and multimedia functionality)
-2 x small cat 6 patch ethernet leads and one larger cat5 lead
-original QNAP PSU that came with this model.
-some screws for the attaching of drives to the pull out enclosures ( which take 2.5/3.5/combo of both, 4 total various RAID configs). I'd suggest SSD or HD in adjacent bays or a hybrid of a speed/cold server to get cheap SSD speed with redundancy in storing raid 1 in bays 3/4

so the extras should be enough to get running as soon as you get the HD units.

It does have dust in places as is expected with electronic equipment but is in good working order & factory reset.  I'd rather leave dust on a fan than take it to bits to clean it.

Please note I work full time so i've knocked the special delivery price split  down to £10 from £17 as this would likely go on the next weekend after the sale. Royal mail though, not yodel or hermes.

I'll try and answer any questions sent - I'm a techie so your odds are fair to good of getting a half decent answer.
