Antique Uncle Sam’s Hot Shot Glass Ashtray Brass Base 6”Estate Find....

Unique Uncle Sam’s Hot Shot Glass Ashtray Brass Base. Possibly handmade (or some sort of prototype) with cigar bands and newspaper backing, origin unknown. Glass is loose from brass base on top. Back says "Pat Applied For". In fair condition, although there are no cracks or chips in glass, if turned upside down, small shiny foil particles that are found between the bands do escape from where the glass doesn't meet the brass. Still an interesting antique piece.
