The premium naugahyde bikini pads were an upgraded feature, as they were thicker and more plush than the standard bikini pads, which are thinner and show the "wire bleed" on the surface.  This is also far more comfortable.

Note: the wire shell and bikini pads are original vintage, while the cat's cradle base is recent and made to original Eames specifications.

The shell is in overall great vintage condition and is structurally sound, but please note the impressions and tiny cuts on the naugahyde, as depicted, which are already reflected in the price.
