The black wire chair can be used bare, without the cover as well. It actually looks amazingly sleek without a cover, as shown.
Chair was photographed under indoor lighting as well as natural light, so you can see the variations on the cover's color, depending on the lighting conditions.
"PAT PEND" (which means "patent pending") still on the bottom of the black wire shell, which indicates an early Eames shell.
