This cast bronze entry hardware by Reading Hardware Co., Reading, PA is a rare right hand set.  It dates to the Aesthetic era c1880s as it is not shown in the 1897 Reading Catalog.  Lovely cast Eastlake pattern. The backplate and handle and thumb latch are in what I would consider to be excellent condition and I only cleaned them lightly.  The right hand rabbeted lock, not so much, as the case is broken and not operational.  This set is worthy of any collection and will display beautifully!  After some research, the opinion is that this set probably is either a salesman’s sample or came off of a Reading building as it is rare to see the actual Reading monogram on the front of the piece.  It is also marked on the lock itself as shown.  Here are the dims:  Backplate 12”h x 3”w, Handle 5”h x 1” projection, Strike plate 5 1/4”h x 1 1/4-2”w, Mortise case 4”h x 2 3/8”d x 1/2” thick (marked 113 on the inside of the lock box), Strike Plate 6 7/8”h x 5/8-1”w.

Shipping to the lower 48 is $18.  If there is a significant overage beyond shipping and handling, I will refund the difference.  Buyer assumes all delivery, shipping and handling costs.  We will ship via eBay’s International Shipping Program for international buyers.
